Tamara Simpson

Tamara Simpson received her Bachelor's Degree in Music (Honours) from the University of Western Australia in 2013, majoring in classical flute performance. She has since completed a Graduate Diploma of Music at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (Edith Cowan University) in 2014. She is currently undertaking a Masters in Music Performance the University of Western Australia, researching the influence of traditional flute music in modern western art flute composition and performance. 

Tamara performed traditional celtic music in the Altus Duo (flute/voice and guitar) for a number of years, and is a current member of the Pavane Trio (Flute, Violin, Cello) - performing works from a range of classical, traditional and popular genres for functions and weddings. As a result of these musical involvements, Tamara has arranged a number of classical and traditional pieces for small ensemble. She has also produced some original compositions in various folk and traditional styles.
